The goalkeeper utterly frustrated Ronaldo by saving his two brilliant shots at the goal and even the block of none proved to be crucial for the Austrian team. The Portuguese team was also caught on several occasions and the Austrian striker Stefan Ilsanker did forced a good save from the Portugal goalkeeper. Ronaldo was making his record appearance in Portugal team but failed to score a penalty when he was brought down by Martin Hinteregger and was prevented by the post to become the only man to score at four consecutive Euros finals.
